go to people selling computer/electronics parts, ask them for 9 pin female ( with holes) serial/com plugs, not molded ones. the 9 pin at the back of PCs are male because they have pins. remember pins (male) must go into holes ( female). you need to do some soldering or ask that electronics man near your house to do it for you. get some flexible but insulated wires, connect pin 2 of the first female plug to pin 3 of the second, the pin 3 of the first plug to pin 2 of the second, then pin 5 to pin 5 of the second. you have crossed rs232 cable.remember connect the ground(metallic parts) of the two plugs together.for you to test, connect it btween your receiver and your pc, use hyperterminal service in your windows xp, vista.switch off and then on your receiver, the software version of your receiver will be displayed in the hyperterminal window

The first thing you should do is use the cursor to keep moving right from No 1 (where it starts) through the numbers until you get to a slot that says 'CAS - Irdeto'. In fact, I see from one of your pictures that slot no 2 says Irdeto/Betacrypt, that also can be used for Showtime (if it becomes necessary); but the first thing is to see whether any of the Irdeto slots already has ident 0604 --- if you find one like that, that is the one to use for Showtime. If you don't find any Showtime specific slot, you can (a) use any existing free/unused slot for Showtime by selecting CAS Irdeto and entering 0604 for Ident and when keys become available you enter the keys; or (b) convert any of the other Irdeto slots to Showtime by entering 0604 for Ident; or (c) convert any other slot e.g. by using cursor to change CAS from say Seca to Irdeto, enter Showtime's ident and keys when those become available.PS Note that by moving the cursor around on any of the slot you can change or tailor the information on that slot: e.g. slot 1 that has 'CAS - Seca' can be changed to 'CAS - Irdeto' etc by using the cursor (i.e. up/down/left/right keys).

1. For a start, I don't think you can get Nilesat which is the satellite on which you find Showtime and ART (or otherwise Badr 26e or even Hotbird); so keys for the Showtime or ART packages are of no use to you.2. The one station in Naija for which most people can use a key is eTV on 68e (same satellite as MyTV)3. How to insert keys will depend on your particular receiver; but you need to know some basics as explained below.(a) TV providers who encrypt use different encryption systems e.g. Nagravision, Conax, Viacess etc(b) Some of these encryptions get compromised and 'keys' become available for some providers(c) For a particular provider that is compromised you need to know the encryption system e.g. eTV uses Nagravision; you then need to know the Provider's ID (a kind of identifying code) e.g. 2011 or 2111 for eTV; you then have to know the particular 'active' key.(d) You then enter the keys into your receiver; however, first of all your receiver must be 'patched', which means it must have the right kind of software; (official software is normally useless for this purpose).(e) You enter the key into the correct space for the particular provider (using its correct ID), in the right encryption section (e.g. Nagravision), and in the right format i.e. 'hex' or 'dec' (in rows of 2 characters or rows of 3 characters). From here, to be able to help you further, you need to state what satellite(s) you can currently receive and what provider/channels you want to watch.

you can change MYTV or any other Screen logo from your strong decoder. by folowing this simple stepPlease download the two following files in a new directory of your hard disk drive:all you need is just download strong loaderat http://www.strong-technologies.com Uploaders SRTLOADER_Software_Uploaders_Middle East & Africa.exe and save it as SRT4651X.exe Softwares SRT4651X.stbPrepare the RS232 Cable (9 pin DIN Crossed Way) and connect it between PC and the receiverOpen the SRT4651X.exe file and choose the Firmware option to download the main software Browse the file SRT4651X.stb and click ConnectSwitch On the receiver. Download will start showing on the display =001, =002 ---- = 100When it is finished, the decoder with display shows 0000

Installing Windows XP on a HP DV6500 series Laptop.

This tutorial covers the process of installing Windows XP on an HP dv6500 series Laptop. Currently, most HP Laptops are being shipped with Windows Vista, and there is minimal driver support on the HP website site for those who want to downgrade to Windows XP. Hence the necessity for this tutorial. We will be using nLite to create a remastered Windows XP installation disk with integrated SATA drivers, so having a working CD Recorder is essential. I would also recommend having a USB flash drive handy to hold the additional drivers that will be installed after XP installation.

Note: Before proceeding, backup any important data you have saved on your PC. In addition, it's also good idea to ensure that you have created a HP recovery disk set for your computer.
You must use a Windows XP service pack 2 installation disk. Service pack 3 will cause problems and you may not be able to get sound working on your HP DV6500 series laptop with the drivers we use. I repeat, you will have NO Sound on your HP DV6500 laptop if you use a Windows XP installation disk containing SP3. You can upgrade to SP3 after the install is done.
(**note this tutorial is for Intel processor based systems only)

How to install Windows XP on a HP dv6500 series Laptop:

First we need to "create a new Windows XP installation disk integrated with SATA drive controller drivers" (Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver). Otherwise Windows XP will not find the hard disk during the installation procedure.

Download and install nLite

Download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver and run the executable installing to the default c:\swsetup\SP37005 path
Insert your Windows XP CD into your CD drive
Navigate to Start -> Programs -> nLite and click nLite to launch the program
Once you get to the Locating the Windows installation section, Click the Browse button and navigate to the CD drive where your Windows install CD resides, then click OK and Next
Next, the program will ask you where to save the CD installation files for modification, click OK
Next, you will need to create a folder to save to and work from. Click the Make New Folder button, type in a folder name, and click OK
Next, nLite will attempt to copy all files from the Windows installation disk to the folder you have created. Once it has finished, click Next
Once you arrive at the Task Selection page, select the Drivers and Bootable ISO option and then click Next
Next to select the SATA drivers to integrate. Click Insert, select Single driver and navigate to the c:\swsetup\SP37005\Files and click iastor.inf and click Open
Next, select "ALL" of the driver files listed and then click OK
Next, when prompted to start the process Click OK
After the process has finished, click Next till you arrive at the Bootable ISO page
I prefer to Create and ISO Image and then use other software to burn the ISO to a CD
Next, find your newly created ISO and burn your ISO to a CD using your preferred burning software
Insert the remastered Windows XP CD into your HP dv6500 series Laptop and proceed to install Windows XP
Installing Drivers for Windows XP and your HP dv6500 series Laptop:Windows XP should now be installed on your HP dv6500 series Laptop. Next, you will need to install the related system, audio, network and video drivers for your new XP install. I am assuming that you have a wired internet connection established, if not you will need to use another PC to download the driver pack and then extract the files to a USB device.

Download the Driver Pack

Extract the Driver Pack
Navigate to where you extracted the Driver Pack files and run chipset - infinst_autol.exe to install the Chipset Drivers and reboot
Once rebooted, navigate back to the Driver Pack files and run intel matrix - iata78_enu.exe to install the Matrix Storage Manager Drivers and reboot once again

After reboot, to install the nVidia Graphics Drivers, extract nv_gfgo_101.34-2kxp32.exe and run Setup.exe from the extracted folder. Click Continue Anyway if a popup dialog box appears warning you that the driver is unsigned

To install the Audio Drivers, extract files from the realek HD audio - WDM_R183.zip and run Setup.exe from the extracted folder
Navigate back to the Driver Pack files and run UAA - sp32646.exe
Next, extract the files from realek HD audio - WDM_R183.zip and run Setup.exe from the extracted folder

To install the modem drivers from the motorola modem - Windows_SM56_6.12.07_DFV.zip

Next, run synaptics touchpad - sp35444.exe

Next, run quicklaunch - sp34796.exe. If you get a few popup New Hardware Found windows. Chooseone and click No, then click Next. Choose Automatic then click Finish.

Proceed to install any additional drivers you might need from the Driver Pack For example: Ethernet Card or Wireless drivers
If all has gone well, your HP dv6500 series Laptop should be up and running from Windows XP with all of your peripherals working properly

The pioneer of modern mass tourism was Thomas Cook who, on 5th July 1841, organized the first package tour in history. He arranged for the rail company to charge one shilling per person for a group of 570 temperance campaigners from Leicester to a rally in Loughborough, eleven miles away. Cook was paid a share of the fares actually charged to the passengers, as the railway tickets, being legal contracts between company and passenger, could not have been issued at his own price. There had been railway excursions before, but this one included entrance to an entertainment held in private grounds, rail tickets and food for the train journey. Cook immediately saw the potential of a convenient 'off the peg' holiday product in which everything was included in one cost. He organised packages inclusive of accommodation for the Great Exhibition, and afterwards pioneered package holidays in both Britain (particularly in Scotland) and on the European continent (where Paris and the Alps were the most popular destinations).

Mass travel
Mass travel could only develop with improvements in technology allowed the transport of large numbers of people in a short space of time to places of leisure interest, and greater numbers of people began to enjoy the benefits of leisure time.
In the United States, the first great seaside resort, in the European style, was Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
In Continental Europe, early resorts included Ostend (for the people of Brussels), and Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais) and Deauville (Calvados) (for Parisians).Adapted from wikipedia
